Firefox Addons are like a boon to everyone. You got addon for almost everything you need to do on your computer with no problems whether you are on MAc, Linux or Windows System. For Bloggers and web developers who need to do a variety of work on the web, Firefox addons can ease the work of Bloggers who can use them to execute every work of theirs just using Firefox addons. Except few exceptions you can do a lot with these Addons. Here’s a list of 20 Addons that is must for every web developer and blogger.

1. Screengrab

It is a screen capture addon which can capture what you can see in the window, the entire page, just a selection, a particular frame. or in other words, it saves web-pages as images – either to a file, or to the clipboard. It can captures Flash too.

2. FireShot

It is another screen capture tool to create screenshots of web pages (entirely or just visible part). It also provides a set of editing and annotation tools to modify web captures and insert text annotations & graphical annotations if required. It is one of the best tools to capture anything on the web. It also got a pro version with additional set of features but for most of us, the standard version will be good enough.

3. Kwout

It is a excellent tool if you want to quote something from the web in your blog post. It lets you quote a part of a web page as an image with an image map and retains the URLs and links.

4. Web Developer toolbar

This toolbar is a must if you are blogger or web developer as it helps you get info about any webpage in a click. You can get info like CSS,  HTML, DOM, Javascript and much more. You can edit the code and see how it looks.

The Web Developer extension adds a menu and a toolbar to the browser with various web developer tools. After installing the extension there is a ‘Web Developer’ menu under the ‘Tools’ and context menu of the browser, as well as a new toolbar.

5. Colorzilla

This small addon is must if you want to play with color combinations on your webpage. It lets you find the hex code for any color on any webpage and it lets you use it for your needs. Good if you want to design your new page with new colors.

6. Measureit

Draw a ruler across any webpage to check the width, height, or alignment of page elements in pixels. Its good if you need to put different sized boxes on your webpage or want to measure something on a webpage.

7. Linkification

This addon Converts text links into genuine, clickable links on any webpage.

8. Firebug

Firebug integrates with Firefox to put a wealth of development tools at your fingertips while you browse. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page.  THis is a excellent addon if you want to change something on your blog as you can see the effect of the change instantly on the webpage without even messing with the actual webpage.

9. Fireftp

FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers. If you run a blog or a website, you can use it as your FTP client for your file transfers.

10. Yslow

YSlow analyzes web pages and why they’re slow based on Yahoo!’s rules for high performance web sites. Its a great addon if you want to check out how your webpage or blog performs in terms of speed and how you can improve it.

11. HTML validator

HTML Validator is a Mozilla extension that adds HTML validation inside Firefox and Mozilla. The number of errors of a HTML page is seen on the form of an icon in the status bar when browsing. The extension can validate the HTML sent by the server or the HTML in the memory (after Ajax execution). Good for checking out HTML problems on your webpage.

12. SeoQuake SEO extension

Seoquake is a Mozilla Firefox SEO extension aimed primarily at helping web masters who deal with search engine optimization (SEO) and internet promotion of web sites. Seoquake allows to obtain and investigate many important SEO parameters of the internet project under study on the fly, save them for future work, compare them with the results, obtained for other, competitive, projects.

13. SQLite Manager

Manage any SQLite database on your computer. An intuitive heirarchical tree showing database objects. Helpful dialogs to manage tables, indexes, views and triggers. You can browse and search the tables, as well as add, edit, delete and duplicate the records. Facility to execute any sql query.

14. CodeBurner for Firebug

CodeBurner is a Firefox add-on that integrates with Firebug, to extend it with reference material for HTML and CSS.


15. RightToClick

It stops javascript annoyances such as forbidden right click, forbidden text selection or cascading dialog boxes. It adds an icon to your status-bar which restores javascript-disabled features if clicked – or it does other actions according to your configuration.
