WordPress 2.8 beta 1 is released to public testing. The new version had loads of improvements in user features, themes, plugins and other advanced features including many bug fixes. Some of the improvemnts that came with it includes improved datbase performance, a new theme search and installer feature.

I downloaded this version and installed wordpress on my local system to test it. I logged in using the deault password generated during the install. The first thing i noticed , it asked me to change the default wordpress passord that was generated for secuirty reasons.

Few days back, i talked about Mandigo theme and its options even outsmarting some premium themes. Today i will talk about Atahualpa which does the same stuff as mandigo theme.
When we start searching for a theme for our wordpress blog , we end up with a a theme which offers limitied functionality.The reason being that any theme which is good will be a premium theme. The free themes though many too good still need that you should have coding ability to tweak the theme according to your needs.
Atahualpa theme solves all of this problem. This theme is a free one and when you install it and then go to theme options, you are almost shocked to see how much options tab it offers. I havent sen so much of customisation and options tab even in premium themes.
