Illacrimo theme orignally released by lifespy and designed by designdisease is a three column theme. I liked this theme and used this theme for long time for my other blog Avinashtech before i switched to thesis theme.
As i was using it on my blog, i did some customizations to the theme to suit my needs. One of the main modification was to increase the width of the post column by merging it with the date column of the original theme.

I've removed the date on mine but I like the idea of using the space created.
Did this fix the problem with the sidebar dropping down in IE6?
i Haven't tested it on IE 6, so probably cant answer you well. Also i switched to thesis theme long back and not using illacrimo now.

It looks like the file uploaded by me isnt there and I do not have a backup copy too. But I can give you the link of the discussion thread which let me make the theme as it looks in screen shot (A bit more space for post than in original) . Its not that hard.
